Our source for the rugs:
Carpets & rugs are sourced through Afghan Carpets, Pakistan's oldest and most respected traders in rugs and carpets. DESCRIPTION
A typical Pakistani Jaldar Bokhari design in silk and wool with Guls / motifs repeated in rows on the face of the rug.
Design of all rugs have a story to tell. Symbols, images, various motifs on carpets are interpreted differently in different countries. In the Turkoman region of Russia, a cross separating one gul from the other is meant to be a tarantula - a sign of good luck. The idea behind this is that if you step on the image of the tarantula woven on the rug, you are less likely to step on a real one.

Note: A certificate confirming the authenticity of the rugs will be provided with each purchase.
Please also note that since these rugs are handwoven all patterns are in limited supply. In case the exact same pattern isn't available at the time you order, we will email you detailed images of the next closest pattern (& colors) in the same design (for eg. Jaldar Bokhara) and only charge you after receiving a confirmation from your end.
