These hand-woven wall hangings are the products of hard labor - underpriveleged women of Tharparker, normally working in pairs, working from their home - mothers and daughters or two neighbors working together - relying on the sale of their craft to feed their family. Purchasing their craft will not only help the women of Tharparker but it will also help promote a rich, Pakistani tradition in the west and around the world.

Simple and complex geometric divisions and floral patterns, these wall-hangings are truly a work of art.
This particular wall-hanging has an unusually lovely color range; the cowrie shell is believed to have special protective powers, and so features on many items.
Can be used for holding letters, bills, notes, pens, small pads, keys and just about anything that you can fit into the pockets.
Viewed under lights, the mirror work adds a razzle-dazzle element to the wall-hangings (this factor has been deliberately toned down in the pictures provided to enhance pattern detail in close-ups).
